A Fresh map for Quake III Arena: Iris

Get something fresh for the rotation. A nice looking map best suited for teams consisting of 3 players each. Can be a bit tricky to play due to the fact that the bases are mirroring each other, that is to say; everything that is on the left on one base will be on the right hand side on the opposite base. Confusing? wait just until you are stressed out by trying to get the flag to home-base, with the enemy crawling all over your back. You will turn the wrong way, oh believe me you will.

Quake III port for Xbox 360 

Activision's port of Quake III Arena for Xbox Live Arcade could be introduced as soon as next month, during the company's E3 showcase. Don't be surprised if it surfaces sooner, just in time to beat the summer heat.

Quake III Arena Map: The Proving Grounds 

As the name already suggests this map is a CTF Remake of Q3Tourney2 - The Proving Grounds. Thereby there is not much to say about this map, brushwork and textures have the original id style, the same also applies to the gameplay. The only things really worth mentioning is that it has slightly better shadows than the original and some modified versions of original id textures. Bots play throughout well.

A Fresh map for Quake III Arena: Karin

"Karin, rota3dm2" is a steaming new hot good looking kick ass DM map good for team deathmatch, and specially greate when played with Excessive Plus modification run under a freeze configuration. Nice flow and a cool blue theme promeses hours of freezing fun. Well worth downloading.

Quake III for Xbox 360 

Rumors about quake hitting the Xbox are circulating on blogs and news. According to some ESRB filings, Quake III Arena may be on the way to the XBox 360. Due to that the game is quite old it's likely that it will be a Xbox Live Arcade release rather than retail.

Stand-alone Quake III Arena modifications 

After the release of id softwares Quake3 engine in August 2005, under the terms of the GPL, we can today enjoy former Quake III Arena mods like, Urban Terror and World of Padman as stand-alone versions. You no longer need to own the game to enjoy the thrill of the hunt or get crazy with... water balloons!?

The q3 engine itself has been improved upon by many, one of the more popular is ioquake3, which has since the release been cleaning up, fixing bugs, and adding features to the quake 3 engine.

Challenge ProMode Arena 1.4

The Quake III Arena gaming scene refuses to die. Mods are still updated and kept up to date. A new version of CPMA has been released, with some major changes to NTF to reduce the power of spawners and make the gameplay something really different to CTF and TDM, now maps have no armour or health and players regenerate. There are new options to play with in the HUD allowing you to load models (crosshair made from hunter’s legs anyone?) and the usual round up of fixes and improvements, the notorious callvote;disconnect CA player special is gone along with a number of other nasty exploits.
